How to calculate weekly timesheet hours
For each day, the calculator adds the duration of Shift 1 and Shift 2, subtracts any unpaid break minutes, then combines the daily totals for the week.
Weekly formula
Weekly hours = sum of daily worked minutes ÷ 60
If your total exceeds the overtime threshold you select, the excess is shown separately as overtime.
Split shift example
If you work 9:00 AM–12:30 PM and 1:00 PM–5:30 PM, the two shifts total 8.00 hours. This is useful when your unpaid meal period is represented as a real clock-out and clock-in rather than a break deduction.
Overnight shifts
If an end time is earlier than its start time, that shift is treated as continuing past midnight into the next day.
